How to test Presbot on mobile devices
Test the full Presbot visitor experience on smaller screens before mobile visitors find the problems first.
Mobile testing needs a real visitor path
A desktop preview is useful, but it does not fully reproduce a phone keyboard, browser controls, or touch behavior.
Use at least one real phone when possible.
Open several important pages
Test the home page, a service page, pricing, contact, and any page with floating controls or forms.
Make sure the launcher appears where expected.
Check launcher placement
The launcher should not cover:
- Navigation
- Cookie controls
- Checkout buttons
- Sticky calls to action
- Accessibility tools
Scroll to the top and bottom of each page because sticky elements may change position.
Open and close the assistant repeatedly
Confirm that the open and close controls are easy to select.
The assistant should not trap the visitor or leave an invisible layer blocking the page after it closes.
Test the keyboard
Select the message field and type a longer question.
Check that the keyboard does not hide the send control, latest message, or close button.
Rotate the phone when appropriate and confirm the experience remains usable.
Review Quick topic readability
Topic labels should fit comfortably and remain easy to select.
If labels wrap into several lines, shorten them without losing meaning.
Use how to write effective Quick topics.
Open links inside answers
Check that links go to the right page and do not leave the visitor in a confusing state.
Test telephone, email, booking, pricing, and internal website links.
Complete lead capture
Use the phone keyboard to enter a name, email address, phone number, and longer description.
Check field behavior, error messages, confirmation text, and whether the final lead is saved.
Review how to set up lead capture.
Test slow or unstable conditions
Mobile visitors may have weaker connections.
Reload the page and watch whether the launcher appears reliably. Confirm that the page remains usable while the assistant loads.
Check more than one browser
When practical, test the browsers commonly used by your visitors.
Browser controls and keyboard behavior can differ.
Test accessibility basics
Increase text size and confirm the assistant remains readable.
Check that controls are large enough to select and that important instructions do not depend only on visual position.
Use private browsing for a clean test
A private window can reduce the effect of cached files and saved sessions.
It also gives you a closer view of what a first-time visitor may experience.
